Pediatric Physical Therapy: Pediatric physical therapy is aimed at improving each child’s development, fine and gross motor skills, and ability to function effectively and as independently as possible within the family, home and school. Unlike other pediatric therapy practices, we apply both orthopedic and neurological approaches. We use a wide array of treatment techniques depending on the needs of each patient: aquatic therapy, PNF (peripheral neuromuscular rehabilitation), NDT (neurodevelopmental treatment), SI (sensory integration), soft tissue and joint mobilization, neuromuscular rehabilitation, therapeutic strengthening and stretching exercises and much more. |

Walking delays and disturbances: Regardless of age, children and their parents have one thing in common - they want to walk! With this in mind, Bright STAR is very proud to be the only pediatric physical therapy clinic in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys to offer the revolutionary LiteGait System. From day one, LiteGait will allow a child to perform standing activities regardless of functional limitations. The latest research in this area indicates that children using the LiteGait System in combination with a treadmill start walking independently 65% faster than those not using it. In addition, LiteGait is very helpful for increasing endurance, strength and stimulating the use of normal gait patterns. |
