I was in a rear collision auto accident. It sounded like an earthquake, and all the airbags broke through the windows. I hurt all over although the ER could find nothing wrong. I walked around in agony—not able to lift my right arm . . . my back, legs and ankles all hurt. I went to my doctor, and he sent me to Bright STAR for physical therapy.
We got off to a slow start. They driver that got for me kept picking me up early and when I got there I had to wait long time for my appointment. Now that I look back, I would have waited any amount of time to see the wonderful people that put me back together, especially Julie with the magic fingers. It seems like in no time that I could lift my right arm all the way up. My back was only tender and my neck as well. Now we are working on my legs and knees tendons, and I must say they have improved 95%.I would like anyone who needs physical therapy to tell their doctor about Bright STAR. The people are wonderful, and the results fantastic.

I am 19 years old and have had chronic lower back and leg pain for several years. After a few surgeries, many different doctors, and no significant results, the problem persisted and got worse over time. Eventually, I ended up completely unable to stand or walk at all. My legs simply wouldn’t hold my weight and nobody could figure out why. I had been in a wheelchair for a month straight when I found Bright STAR. I had quickly gone from one or two days in a wheelchair a week to one or two out of the chair a month and then to no time out of it at all. Bright STAR completely gave me my life and my freedom back. I had only been to therapy a couple times before they had me walking on the Life Gait machine. Feeling myself standing and beginning to take a couple steps again was the best feeling in the world. The staff gave ma a light at the end of the tunnel to work towards. They were so encouraging and friendly. They made me believe I could do it. About a month later I am walking all on my own. I am even able to be a somewhat normal teenager and spend time with friends outside of my house, something I have done a handful of times in the last two years. I still have a long way to go, but in this month at Bright STAR is the most improvement I have made in a very, very long time.

I started physical therapy at Bright STAR . . . after a back operation and at the suggestion of my neurologist. My first experience was a very thorough, efficient and professional examination. My balance was not good. My legs were not strong. I also experienced back spasm. My body was weak, and I got tired easily. I could not walk a straight line.I experienced genuine caring from the owner and all of her staff. I felt welcomed and at ease.I was encouraged to start stretching and strengthening exercises the physical therapist showed me how to do each one . . . at 78 years of age it is a strange experience starting an exercise program.
The results have been amazing, I no longer all down, my gait is better, my body mush stronger, and my posture has improved as I now stand up straighter. As my trunk is strengthened I feel stronger and more confident. Each therapy session was created to assist me in my exercise program, and I got individual attention for the entire session. I can now do things with my body that I have never been able to.I no longer experience PAIN and I sleep very soundly.I wholeheartedly recommend Bright STAR to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their life no matter what their age.

What I most appreciate about my experience at Bright STAR in North Hollywood is the personal touch I have received. From day one, I have always been made to feel that when I am there getting therapy, I am a VIP. I am greeted with a smile from the wonderful office staff and big hello from my therapists, Mike and Arnold. The first thing my therapist, Arnold, does if find out how I am doing, if I am having any problems and just about my life in general. I feel that he is genuinely interested in my complete recovery from my trauma. My sessions have been personally designed to cater to my needs. I have been to other therapy centers that have been nothing but the equivalent of doing an circuit at the local gym. I see and feel the results because everything is designed for me. I also have the comfort of knowing that when I am at Bright STAR, my time is my time; I am not sharing my therapist’s attention with three other clients.
I was also happy to get a phone call from Bruce Lund, as a follow-up to my initial visit, to see if I was getting the therapy and patient treatment I needed. I never got that experience at the other facility either.I am very pleased with my experience at Bright STAR in North Hollywood and would be happy to recommend this facility to anyone needing exceptional physical therapy.
